The former Dy. Chief Minister and Home Minister's comments about small incidents in big cities has to be read in perspective। He was referring to the intelligence failure considering the vast and diverse nature of Mumbai and lack of specific inputs from Intelligence agencies. May be his grammar may not have been perfect considering his rural background , but that is the problem any new incumbent will have to face. He has also said lot of things about how police had bravely fought the terrorists with outdated weapons but with exemplary courage. But the courage of policemen does not generate as much TRP’s as the specific sound bytes isolated and selectively projected by the media. This interpretation by the media as per their own convenience can prove to be dangerous as they may emerge as a threat to the democratic institutions of India. I am in no way supportive of the NCP policies and the flip flop they have done time and again on the issue of people of foreign origin occupying high constitutional post which was the basis of their independent identity. And they are now sharing power with the same party from which they had broken out. This is politics of convenience.
But I can dare to stick out my neck to say that here was the man who was often referred to as Mr. Clean and it’s pity that he has to face probable end of his political career in this manner. The manner in which the urban media reported that he has run away to Tasgaon (Sangli District) to avoid general public has to be condemned outright. Freedom of press does not mean that you can report whatever you like. The day is not far when because of the irresponsible manner of media reporting, including the commando operation where they compromised so many lives of hostages and the army personnel fighting terrorists by telecasting the operations live, there may be some PIL or constitutional step to curb their exuberance.
I can also smell of some conspiracy to humiliate maharashtrians in any available possible manner. Shivraj Patil, R.R. Patil, Vilasrao Deshmukh all shown the door. Why has Manmohan Singh been spared inspite of his uninspiring leadership all these years. A Prime Minister who cries like a kid if the left does not support the nuclear deal. What can we expect from such spineless prime minister.
Some news channels were also throwing out names of possible contenders for the CM and Dy CM posts. One of the contender is Kripa Shankar Singh. We knew that such lackadaisical attitude from the marathi intelligentsia would some day allow some North Indian to be CM but were not expecting this fast. Kudos to the Pseudo intelligentsia .
Strongest possible condemnation is due for the kerala chief minister for the disrespect he has shown to the martyr’s father in Bangalore।
Last but not the least, the current president of USA Mr। George Bush, President Elect Barrack Obama and the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown have individually issued more sentences of condemnation and condolences than the responses of our President, Prime Minsiter and all Ministers put together.

May be may be not. But that is not the issue here. Whether he understands spoken Hindi in its proper perspective and dimension. The point is the verbal presentation at the press meet when a person of Ministerial level holding Home Portfolio says casually that "in such a Big city like Mumbai these type of small incidents take place sometimes" shows how serious Home Minister has taken this cruel terrorist attack killing innocent lives.
No one will take such comments lightly. It is insulting to all those who lost their near and dear ones and the departed souls. It is insensitive. It is not the first time we have heard this kind of casual insensitive comments to press, by other cabinet ministers of Home Dept including Shiraj Patil.

Is it a comment of a responsible Cabinet Minister? or is he trying to fool with one Billion people of this country? Our PM must be ashamed of running this country with such Jokers. One time Criminals, corrupt politicians and insensitive people who think all this is a BIG joke.
YES! it is with a spineless PM at the helm of it.
As regards to RR Patil, he may be very hones, non corrupt but at the end of the day we need able, capable Administrators running this country to provide full proof security to all citizens.
As a Home Minister, Poor quality Bullet proof jackes worn by our Senior most ATS officers have taken the lives of good officers and only because of corrupt practices in Home Ministry.
Who is taking responsibility for that? who is accountable for this corruption in all places? Of course, first the Prime Minister and then the respective Heads.
so let us not be talking Marathi and non Marathi. The CM of the state is first responsible for this grave situation and all of them including PM should resign on moral grounds because this is not the first time that so many innocent lives have been lost for no fault of theirs.
I say, the Railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav also must be asked to step down for the attack on CST.
It is entirely his responsibility if the lapses in adequate security measures were not in place at CST and the reason for terrorist to walk in free killing 60/70 innocent passengers was possible.
I say, don't discuss or debate why and why not. As common people we have the right to demand safety security to our lives first of Z Level and should only demand for capability and accountability from who we elect in a good faith to deliver.
We all pay taxes for efficient, good governance and administration to run this country like any other MNC which creates assets and profits.
We only should demand for change in the attitudes of our political mentors and not get into their politics.
