After the terrorist attacked Mumbai, we received many emails / SMS of anguish, criticism, seeking action from politicians. One of such emails / SMS had been about asking contact number of M N S chief Raj Thackaray. The senders of this email / SMS has been searching Raj Thackaray to ask him where was he when Pakistani terrorists attacked Mumbai? Further, the email / SMS convey to Raj Thackaray that the NSG commandos who eradicated the ultras out of Hotel Taj, Hotel Trident & Nariman House were all North Indians and whether Raj Thackaray would welcome them doing this job. The so called intellect of our society who basically nurture hatred for Mumbaikar Marathi Manus were very prompt in enjoying this stuff and readily circulating the same to win support.
How ridiculous this has been?? The authors of this email / SMS have not only ridicule Raj Thackaray but they have ridiculed the entire Mumbai Police force. Do these people conveniently forget that 15 cops of Mumbai police died in the terror attack while on official duty?? All of them were Marathi Manus!! Are these people not aware that 24 hours round the clock and 365 days a year, it is the Mumbai Police force that has been vigilant to protect the common Mumbaikars during Ganeshostsav, Navratri, Ed, Diwali or Holi and not the NSG commandos! Over 95% of the serving staff of Mumbai police has been Marathi Manus. Do you still dare to question to Marathi Manus over their role in rescue operation?? What are they expecting Raj Thackaray or MNS to do while security forces were busy in rescue operations? Had Raj Thackaray or any officials of MNS shown up near the war zone, the same set of people would have made a hue and cry that MNS used this incident to make a political mileage.
And before we raise some important issues, let us brush up their knowledge on the history of our great nation. It has been the known fact that Islamic states are instrumental in harboring and spreading terrorism all over the world. Pakistan and Afganistan have been at the helm of providing all sorts of support to the terrorist organizations. If one scrolls through the pages of history books, one will find that the seeds of these terrorist states were sowed in the midst of 17th century when Marathas lost the great war of Panipat. The history states that the Maratha statesmen and Maratha warriors consistently fought against the Mughals (Pashtun & Baloch tribal) aggression for centuries. But Marathas struggled hard to get the support from any of the Kings who were ruling other states in India at those times. The loss of Panipat was not the fall of Maratha Empire but it was a fall of our great nation. Had Marathas defeated Mohammad Shah Abdali, perhaps Pakistan and Afganistan would not been there today! Did anyone of these dare to send similar e-mails and SMS to Samajwadi Party (SP) General Secretary Amar Singh when SP used the Batla House encounter to derive political mileage?? Couple of months backs in the capital of India, the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Delhi police actioned an encounter at the Batla house. The Inspector Mohan Sharma of ATS succumbed to the bullets fired by the terrorist who were hiding out in Batla House. SP made very hard efforts to prove that the Batla House shootout was a fake encounter. Amar Singh met the Prime Minister of India to set up an enquiry commission. All this drama was done to appease the minority voters. When a north Indian officer was shot dead by the terrorist and a selfish politician was making an issue out of it, did anyone ever take initiative to voice against Amar Singh?
After some days, this terror attack will vanish from the public memory. The lawyers like Majid Memon will rise up to take the legal case of terrorist who has been nabbed by the armed forces. Majid Memon has done this on several occasions in the past. Will these PSEUDO-patriots will have guts to grab Majid Menon and hold him accountable. No! Abu Salem, the prime accused in 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts is still alive. Although there are enough evidences to prove his involvement alongwith Dawood Ibrahim the conspirator of the bomb blasts. But the judiciary has failed to hang him till date. The people of Azamgadh took out rallies in support of Abu Salem. He has expressed desire to fight election. It is also surprising that the Indian media is treating him like a national celebrity. Some news-channels have made an in-depth cover story of his affair with Monica Bedi. But none of these PSEUDO-patriots ever felt of condemning this shameful act of the Indian media. Our system has miserably failed to book him for the serious crime that he committed i. e. the conspiracy against the state!!
We all understand that there are serious lapses with our governance model. The politicians assume that security is their privilege but the security of common man is not their concern. There is gross failure of our intelligence system. The mails in circulation are nothing but a "Cheap" shot once again by so called rightist and so called patriotic minds to humiliate sentiments of Marathi Manoos.
It is mischievous on the part of senders, circulating such out-of-the context mails to insult the intelligence of a Mumbaiker and Marathi manoos in specific. I hv not seen any mails written by anyone, anyone at all, when SP MLA from UP openly announced a booty of one Crore Rupee for anyone beheading Raj Thackaray. This man had a audacity to make this announcement in front of millions of viewers on National TV channels. No channel took it seriously nor made an issue out of it when one MLA, who takes oath under the Indian constitution to protect the law? Believes in killing another fellow citizen. And goes scot Free. Our PM, Home Minister, Lalu Prasd Yadav, Ram vilas Paswan, Amer singh, Mayawati do not think there is anything wrong with such an appeal? The electronic media which keeps spewing poison against Raj thackray also thinks it is not very important news. And these email campaigners too dont send emails and smses to condemn these goondas?
